$36 per 100g skein - dyed in a batch of five skeins
Today, now (which when later would have been January 30th, 2019), it is fantastically cold outside. Twelve below zero was the high today, and tonight it'll dip to thirty below. Brrrrr!! A perfect day to sit inside and knit, and although I dyed up these skeins last week, they still remind me of warmer climes even if I don't want to be there. Nope. I'm perfectly happy with the snow and cold in the beautiful midwest.
There wasn't really anything in my mind as far as inspiration went for this batch; I just picked the colors as they called out in turn, and knew exactly when they were done. When taking the photographs, an intriguing glow within a space of dark revealed itself, and I find these to be somewhat haunting in their complexity.
I hope you do, too.
This is one of our most versatile bases; a stunning blend of wool and silk. It makes an excellent warp for weaving; has crisp stitch definition in knitting and crochet, and is incredibly soft besides.
