This was one of those batches that turned out wildly different that I'd been imagining. It took me on a very labyrinthine journey, and in the end, I couldn't help but be both puzzled and pleased. It's all the right colors, but exactly the wrong season. Yet these are the colors I'm seeing all around me, and it's definitely spring. In the gardens of this neighborhood, scarlet and coral tulips are nestled next to yellow daffodils, lavender jonquils, and purple hyacinth. Slowly greening lawns are speckled with dandelions and golden poppies. Still, the empty tree branches reach into the sky with naked brown arms; in the distance the front range is grey next to the blue and white of the Rockies behind them.
Standing on its own, this yarn would be lovely in a stockinette tank or tee, shawl, or pair of socks. It would also be stunning paired with the other yarn we dyed right afterwards, From Winter Sleep To Radiant Bloom, either held together or knit/crocheted separately to showcase each texture and color.
