Even after all this time, I cannot predict what yarns will sell quickly, and which ones will languish without being picked. There was one memorable time when I thought that the final colors were truly ugly, yet I had set myself the task to never declare such a thing, and so into the photo queue they went, up on the website, and BAM! Sold out.

And the opposite happens as well. In my eyes the yarn is so stunningly nuanced, so evocative, so heartbreakingly beautiful, and yet it sells not. Sits for months, a few times for over a year, until the right person comes along and says, "She's for me!"

These three skeins started off here, and I marveled every time I saw them in the 'availables' box as I picked up others that had been claimed. Finally an old acquaintance reached out for two, yet as summer turns to autumn here in the midwest, I knew they finally had an expiration date. So back in the kettle they went, and emerged thusly.

As pleased as I was with them the first time, I love them even more now. Mirroring the drying corn and dying grasses in the fields, the gold, golden green, and that mysterious shade of deep lavender are exquisitely set off by fawn, khaki, and sandy buff, with the high silk content causing the yarn to shine.

If they were mine, they would be destined for another Caesura pattern by ÅsaTricosa, of course!
