It's become apparent that we inevitably end up dyeing ocean colors over and over again. This makes sense, of course, as I live by and regularly walk what some consider to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. To celebrate and supply you all with unending skeins of yarn that reflect the colors of our Hawaiian beach waters, this batch is the first of an on-going series: Mauka to Makai: Kai #1. Uka is the Hawaiian word for mountain, and kai the word for ocean. The phase is used often to indicate in a broad sweep all that is contained within these beautiful lands. From the mountains to the ocean, here is a little taste of aloha for your knitting or crocheting pleasure!
