The inspiration for this colorway came in the middle of the night, whilst the moon poured in through the window, awakening me from sleep. There is a recollection of being deep in a very lovely dreaming, and as I slowly slipped into wakefulness, these colors were all that remained, and I saw them translated onto the yarn.

I am incredibly pleased with how they emerged, exactly, if not even more lovely, as envisioned. These are full and sophisticated neutrals of charcoal and fawn paired with blackened fuchsia, each standing alone then shading into each other.

Because of the natural color of the baby camel fiber, which is a very lovely tan, and the high silk content, which adds sheen, this yarn is one of my absolute favorites to dye. You might imagine that already having color on the yarn might pose a problem, but in fact it adds an incredible underlayer to the dye pigment, providing depth and complexity.
